Furthermore, the authorities have dispatched invitations to Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Khalid Magsi, Sajid Mir, and Awais Noorani.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman is also scheduled to participate in a farewell meeting joined by fellow party leaders. In addition, the parliamentary group of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) will also attend this gathering.

Subsequent to the farewell dinner, the Prime Minister will hold a discussion with the leader of the opposition after consulting with allies regarding the appointment of the caretaker prime minister.

Shehbaz Sharif And The Opposition Leader To Meet Again To Decide On Caretaker PM

In another development, the PM and the Opposition Leader are preparing for a second round to select the caretaker PM. The meeting yesterday did not yield any clear results regarding the caretaker setup.

Today’s meeting follows an initial one yesterday that concluded without a clear resolution. The two leaders have to arrive at a decision that adheres to the requirements of the Constitution.

In the corridors of power in Islamabad, excitement is palpable as the focus of political discussions centers around this pivotal dialogue between these influential personalities.

The prime minister invited the opposition leader to engage in deliberations regarding the appointment of the caretaker prime minister. As per the constitutional stipulations, both leaders have a three-day timeframe to mutually agree upon a candidate.

If they fail to reach an agreement, a parliamentary committee will take responsibility for resolving the matter. In the event of a deadlock within the committee, the ECP will assume the authority to make the final decision.
