Today Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is set to protest outside against the foreign funding case.
For the protest, PML-N leaders and workers will gather at Allama Iqbal Park whereas the PPP’s local leaders will gather at IJP road in Rawalpindi. The camps are set up in Faizabad to welcome PDM parties.
JUI’s local leadership and workers will gather at Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi and the PDM caravan will leave for Election Commission Islamabad from Faizabad.
“Strict action will be taken against protestors breaking the law”
Additional security personnel of police and rangers are appointed at all important official buildings. More than 1800 police personnel are deployed to fulfill security duties. They are deployed at all the entry and exit points of the Red Zone.
Islamabad’s Red Zone is being monitored through the cameras of the safe city. Sources at Interior Ministry said that strict action will be taken against protestors breaking the law.
Inspector General of Islamabad also took a tour of the Election Commission and reviewed the security situation. Security is on high alert in Islamabad’s Red Zone.
A security room has been set up in Interior Ministry. The control room will monitor the law and order situation in the Red Zone.
