New Chief Secretary, CCPO appointed in Punjab after caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi takes charge

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Soon after the oath-taking of caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi, chief secretary, CCPO, and principal secretary to CM have been transferred.

Zahid Akhter Zaman has been appointed as the new chief secretary of Punjab in place of Abdullah Khan Sumbal.

Sumbal has been sent back to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GA).

Meanwhile, Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, the chief of Lahore Capital City Traffic Police has been transferred. Punjab Additional Inspector General (AIG) Bilal Siddque Kamyana has been appointed as new CCPO of Lahore.

Meanwhile, pro-Chaudhry Pervez Elahi bureaucrat Muhammad Khan Bhatti has been removed as the principal secretary to the chief minister after Mohsin Naqvi became CM Punjab.

Muhammad Khan Bhatti has been asked to to report to Punjab Assembly Secretariat.

More high-level posting and transfers are expected with change of command after dissolution of Punjab Assembly.
