London: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed his commitment to addressing long-standing issues related to the Sindh canals and the province of Balochistan.
Speaking to the media in London, Nawaz said, “I will do everything in my power to resolve the issues concerning the Sindh canals and Balochistan.”
The former prime minister expressed optimism about the country’s trajectory and applauded the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, crediting him with revitalizing Pakistan’s struggling economy. “Shehbaz has lifted the declining economy back onto its feet,” Nawaz remarked.
He called for collective national efforts, emphasizing that every citizen should contribute to Pakistan’s progress and development.
Addressing recent rumors about his health, Nawaz firmly denied any issues, stating that the reports were baseless. “I am completely fine; false news has been spread about my health,” he clarified.
He also praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her developmental initiatives in the province, stating that she had achieved “new milestones of progress” and dismissed claims of favoritism or disregard for merit under her leadership.
Highlighting ongoing infrastructure efforts in Lahore, Nawaz said multiple rehabilitation projects were underway and assured that the city would soon be restored to its former glory.
