Islamabad Authorities Order Closure of Hotels Around Sangjani

In preparation for a planned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in the Siangjani area of Islamabad today, authorities have mandated the closure of all hotels, shops, and guest houses near the rally site. The Metro Bus service in the area has also been suspended.

The Siangjani police have ordered the shutdown of hotels, guest houses, and restaurants from September 8 to September 9, during which no accommodation, food, or other services will be available.

A formal notice has been issued to all hotels and businesses in the vicinity, instructing them to deny all services to guests and patrons. The notice from the Siangjani police station warns that legal action will be taken against those who do not comply.

The PTI leadership is holding a “power show” in Islamabad today, with the administration having granted an NOC for the rally under 40 specific conditions.
