ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has warned that Bushra Bibi’s bail could be revoked if she continues to fail to appear before the trial court. The IHC’s statement came after the former first lady of Pakistan did not attend the latest hearing in her ongoing case.
Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been facing charges in connection with multiple legal matters, including corruption and misuse of office. Despite being granted bail in the case, her repeated absence from court proceedings has raised concerns among the judicial authorities.
The IHC, while hearing the case, emphasized the importance of her presence at the trial and made it clear that her bail could be rescinded if she does not comply with the court’s orders and attend future hearings.
Legal experts believe that the court’s stern warning could have significant implications for Bushra Bibi’s legal standing if she fails to heed the IHC’s directive.
