Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed on Monday that only a small circle of people were aware of the specifics of his long march plan.
The PTI leader claimed in an interview with a private news station that a “unimaginable” sea of people will march toward Islamabad. He also maintained that he had kept his plan a secret in light of recent audio leaks and phone call “tapping.”
Because our phones are being tapped and for the first time, he said, “I have kept my long march plan a secret. I feel like a traitor to the country.”
The PTI leader added that before the march begins, party members will receive special instructions. He also stated that the “Haqeeqi Azadi” march will be the “largest” in country history.
My phones are being tapped.
Imran Khan, the prime minister, also bemoaned the low level of security at PM House and described the audio leaks from the PMO as a serious security lapse. Khan stated that “enemy could benefit from these audios.”
Imran Khan stated that the Foreign Office held the master copy of the cypher.
He added that copies of the cypher were also delivered to Pakistan’s Chief Justice and then the speaker of the National Assembly. “The master copy [of the cypher] is still in the Foreign Office,” he claimed.
PTI wants a judicial investigation into PM House audio leaks regarding resignations.
Imran Khan further claimed that the opposition was a participant in the international scheme and had falsely claimed to have seen the copy of the cypher. He continued, “PM Shehbaz is the true benefactor of the foreign scheme.”
