ISLAMABAD: Barrister Gohar announced on Wednesday that Sher Afzal Marwat would be the party’s nominee for the Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Addressing the media, the Chairman of PTI emphasized the lingering mystery surrounding the ownership of the Avenfield apartments. He expressed frustration, stating, “No one knows who the owner of these apartments is, who provided the money, and what the price was.”
Highlighting concerns over the handling of legal proceedings, Barrister Gohar pointed out the swift resolution of cases involving Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz.
He lamented, “They appeared in court one day, and the next day, cases against them were dismissed. We seek similar expediency and fairness from the courts.”
Stressing the importance of timely justice, he urged against delaying justice for decades, asserting, “Don’t tell us after 45 years that we didn’t receive justice. We trust the courts and seek prompt resolution.”
Furthermore, Barrister Gohar revealed that he had a meeting with the PTI’s founder, who instructed the nomination of Sher Afzal Marwat for the position of PAC Chairman.
