Azma Bokhari, publicly expressed skepticism, criticism towards PTI party

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari sharply criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday, ahead of the party’s public gathering in Lahore.

In a scathing statement, Bokhari claimed that the PTI’s public gathering was facing an uncertain turnout, with only 1,500 to 1,600 people from Lahore attending the event.

She also noted that the turnout was similarly low in other cities, including Sargodha, with fewer than 3,000 people in attendance. Bokhari expressed her gratitude to the Punjab masses for rejecting the PTI’s attempts to create unrest in the region.

Bokhari took a swipe at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, accusing him of utilizing public resources to travel to Lahore for the PTI’s public gathering.

She also offered a prayer that higher authorities would show mercy on those attending the event from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier, on Friday, Bokhari had accused PTI leaders of planning to spread unrest in the country through “leaked” audio calls. She claimed that the PTI had a track record of spreading unrest in the past and would not be allowed to do so under the guise of politics.

Bokhari referenced the PTI’s previous public gathering in Islamabad, saying that everyone was aware of the chaos and violence that had occurred during that event.

She alleged that the PTI was attempting to spread terrorism in the name of their rally and vowed that nobody would be allowed to disrupt the peace in the country under the pretext of politics.
