Police have arrested nine suspects linked to four alleged gangs involved in robbery, motorcycle theft and other criminal activities. The arrests also led to the recovery of 11 stolen motorcycles, valuables, weapons and other items.
According to a police spokesperson, Chakala Police arrested two members of an alleged gang during an operation. Officers recovered six stolen motorcycles from the suspects and took them into custody for further investigation.
Rawat Police also arrested four suspects allegedly involved in criminal activities. During the operation, police recovered four stolen motorcycles, cash and weapons from their possession.
Police Recover Stolen Motorcycles and Weapons
Meanwhile, Cantt Police arrested the alleged ringleader of a gang during a separate operation. Officers recovered an iPhone, a stolen motorcycle and cash from the suspect following the arrest.
Similarly, Wah Cantt Police arrested two members of another alleged gang. Police recovered a stolen cow from the suspects and continued their investigation into the group’s activities.
Police Continue Crackdown Against Criminal Gangs
Police officials said they would present all arrested suspects before the relevant court with solid evidence. Authorities will also continue investigating the alleged gangs and their links to other reported crimes.
The police spokesperson said operations against criminal gangs would continue across the area. Moreover, police will conduct further action without discrimination to curb theft, robbery and other criminal activities.
The latest arrests highlight continued police efforts to recover stolen property and apprehend suspects involved in criminal activities. Police said such operations would remain ongoing to improve public safety.
