Rai Qamar, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), was detained by Punjab police on Sunday after threatening to assassinate Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, at a meeting of the general public in Hafizabad, Punjab.
After Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi took careful notice of the widely circulated threatening video of the PML-N politician, the arrest was made.
According to information, PML-N leader Rai Qamar was apprehended by the police squad while attempting to flee the scene after threatening to kill Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
Azhar Mashwani, the chief minister of Punjab’s advisor, posted a picture of PML-N leader Rai Qamar being held in custody.
Recall that PM Shehbaz Sharif’s special assistants Atta Tarar and Saira Afzal Tarar were present when PML-N leader Rai Qamar threatened to shoot Imran Khan.
In response to the gun attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad, Rai Qamar stated that he had no regrets and threatened to shoot and kill the PTI leader if the party leadership ordered.
