ISLAMABAD: Hina Arshad Warraich of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has emerged victorious in the PP-52 (Sambryal) by-election, securing 78,419 votes, according to preliminary results from all 185 polling stations.
Her closest contender, Fakhar Nishat Ghumman — supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) — trailed behind with 40,037 votes.
In her victory address, Warraich credited her win to the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the dedication of PML-N workers.
She emphasized that the people had endorsed the politics of public service and pledged that addressing local issues and ensuring development would remain her top priorities.
