ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has made pre-analysis of MDCAT 2025 papers mandatory, directing all universities to ensure that no questions appear outside the approved syllabus. The decision aims to enhance transparency, consistency, and quality in the upcoming Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), which will be held on October 26.
Pre-Analysis Requirement to Ensure Fairness
According to the official PMDC announcement, universities must conduct prior analysis of all MDCAT papers to identify and remove any out-of-syllabus questions before the final exam. The council emphasized that this measure will ensure fairness and accuracy in evaluating studentsโ performance.
The PMDC has shared the complete examination policy and paper structure with all participating universities. These institutions are now responsible for preparing, administering, and marking the examination in strict accordance with PMDCโs prescribed standards.
MDCAT 2025 Exam Schedule and Centers
The MDCAT 2025 will take place on October 26, with 140,125 candidates registered across Pakistan and abroad. PMDC confirmed that 35 examination centers will operate nationwide. Additionally, an international center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will facilitate overseas Pakistani students.
Universities will conduct the exam, while the PMDC will serve as the regulatory authority, ensuring compliance with all protocols and maintaining examination integrity throughout the process.
Strict Confidentiality and Paper Standards
The council has instructed universities to strictly follow PMDCโs standards for paper setting, development, and printing. Moreover, it has directed them to maintain strict confidentiality at every stage of paper preparation to prevent leaks or irregularities.
Candidates will receive their admit cards seven days before the examination, allowing sufficient time for verification and preparation.
Result Declaration and Accountability Measures
The PMDC has also announced a fixed timeline for result announcements. Universities must declare MDCAT 2025 results within seven days after the exam. The council believes this standardized process will promote efficiency, transparency, and accountability across all testing institutions.
By enforcing these new measures, PMDC aims to strengthen public trust in the MDCAT system and ensure merit-based admissions to medical and dental colleges nationwide.
