Lahore Likely to Receive Rain
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that Lahore may receive rain during the next 24 hours. Weather conditions are changing in different parts of the country.
PMD Deputy Director Atif Irshad said rainfall has already been reported in several cities. He said Lahore may also receive rain as cloud cover increases in the coming days.
Cloudy Weather May Bring Relief
According to the Met Office, Lahoreโs sky is expected to remain partly cloudy for the next two to three days. The change in weather may bring some relief from the ongoing heat.
The maximum temperature in Lahore is expected to reach 39 degrees Celsius. However, officials said there is no current threat of a heatwave in the city.
Monsoon Expected in First Week of July
Atif Irshad said the present weather conditions are normal. He added that residents do not need to worry about heatwave conditions at this stage.
He said Pakistanโs monsoon season is expected to begin in the first week of July. Rainfall activity is likely to intensify in different regions after the monsoon system arrives.
