Islamabad Memorandum Already in Force
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has postponed his planned visit to Switzerland for a US-Iran ceremony.
The visit was linked to an agreement aimed at ending the Middle East war.
According to the prime minister’s spokesman, the trip was postponed because the agreement had already been signed remotely.
Spokesman Confirms Electronic Signing
Spokesman Mosharraf Zaidi said the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has already been electronically signed.
He said the agreement has entered into force and is now under implementation.
Zaidi added that the proposed visit was no longer required at this stage.
Pakistan to Support Technical Talks
The spokesman said Pakistan will continue supporting the next phase of the process.
He added that several technical-level tracks will now move forward.
The development comes as diplomatic efforts continue around the US-Iran agreement and regional peace process.
