ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today convened an meeting of the federal cabinet to deliberate on a wide range of national issues, including the country’s economic, security and political situation.
The meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the Prime Minister’s House, where federal ministers and cabinet members are expected to review matters of national importance and make key policy decisions.
According to sources, the cabinet will receive a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s internal security situation and the measures being taken to maintain law and order across the country. Members will also assess the prevailing regional environment and discuss issues related to national security in light of recent developments.
Security, Economy and Ministry Summaries on Agenda
Sources said the cabinet is expected to consider several policy matters requiring formal approval. It will also review and ratify recommendations submitted by various cabinet committees on administrative and governance issues.
In addition, summaries prepared by different ministries and government divisions will be presented before the cabinet for approval. These proposals are expected to cover a range of administrative, financial and policy-related matters.
The Cabinet Division has formally notified federal ministers and other cabinet members about the scheduled meeting, ensuring their participation in the discussions.
Although the government has not released an official agenda, sources indicated that the meeting will primarily focus on issues carrying significant national importance.
The deliberations are expected to address the country’s economic challenges, evolving security landscape and other pressing governance matters, with decisions likely to shape upcoming government policies and administrative actions.
