Rs 15.33 Million Set Aside for Renovation
The government has allocated Rs 15.33 million for the renovation of the Prime Ministerโs Office.
The allocation has been made in the federal budget 2026-27.
According to budget documents, the funds will be used for renovation work at the PM Office.
The project comes as government spending remains under public and political scrutiny.
Ministerโs Enclave and Staff Colony Also Get Funds
Budget documents show another Rs 53 million has been allocated for the construction of 12 apartments in the Ministerโs Enclave, Islamabad.
A separate Rs 80 million has been set aside for the renovation of the PM Staff Colony.
The estimated expenditure on the project is expected to reach Rs 189.7 million by June 30, 2026.
The total estimated cost of the project stands at Rs 343.1 million.
Parliament Expenses Receive Major Allocations
The federal budget 2026-27 also proposes major funds for Parliament.
According to budget documents, Rs 9.67 billion has been proposed for the Senate.
Another Rs 17.46 billion has been suggested for the National Assembly.
For Senate membersโ salaries and privileges, Rs 1.22 billion has been allocated.
An amount of Rs 218.9 million has been proposed for the Chairman Senate, Deputy Chairman, and Senate Secretariat.
The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and their secretariat have been allocated Rs 104.8 million.
Meanwhile, Rs 1.58 billion has been proposed for chairpersons of Senate standing committees.
