Federal Cabinet to Assess Pakistan’s Economic Situation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to brief cabinet members on the agreement and explain its major provisions.
The pact was signed in Makkah on August 7 by Shehbaz Sharif, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The agreement establishes a collective defence framework among the three countries.
Under the pact, an armed attack against one participating country will be considered an attack against all three.
Pakistani officials have described the arrangement as defensive and focused on strengthening deterrence, regional security and military cooperation.
