Pitbull achieved a new career milestone after setting a Guinness World Record during his sold-out concert at London’s BST Hyde Park. Thousands of fans wore bald caps to honor the global music star, creating a historic moment.
The rapper, whose real name is Armando Christian Pรฉrez, earned the record after 22,141 concertgoers wearing bald caps gathered at the venue. Guinness World Records adjudicator Will Munford officially confirmed the achievement during Sunday’s event.
Fan Tradition Turns Into World Record
The record grew from a fan tradition that has gained popularity in recent years. Supporters regularly attend Pitbull concerts wearing bald caps, sunglasses, and tailored suits to resemble the singer. Consequently, they proudly refer to themselves as the “Bald Es.”
Pitbull had previously expressed his wish to transform the viral trend into an official Guinness World Record. Sunday’s successful attempt fulfilled that ambition before a packed audience.
Historic Concert Delights Thousands
Nearly 70,000 fans attended the Hyde Park performance, making it the festival’s largest concert on record. Meanwhile, millions of viewers could watch the event through a three-hour livestream on Pitbull’s official YouTube channel.
Pitbull entertained the crowd with chart-topping songs, including “Don’t Stop the Party,” “Hotel Room Service,” “International Love,” and “I Feel Good.” In addition, Lil Jon and Kesha joined him for surprise appearances.
The rapper also performed Oasis’ classic “Wonderwall” as a tribute to British fans. Finally, he closed the concert with “Give Me Everything” before a spectacular fireworks display lit up Hyde Park.
The record-breaking show forms part of Pitbull’s I’m Back Tour, which has reportedly sold more than two million tickets across 27 countries, marking the biggest solo tour of his career.
