Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is bringing back its full flight schedule to London starting next month. The airline will use Boeing 777 planes on this important route.
London holds a special place for PIA. It was the airlineโs very first international destination years ago and still remains one of its busiest and most valuable routes. Before the UK ban in 2020, PIA operated ten flights every week to London.
The UK had grounded PIA in July 2020 after serious questions were raised about the qualifications of some of its pilots. The airline worked hard to fix the issues and finally restarted limited flights to the UK on October 25, 2025. British officials have now welcomed the improvement and said the service will make life much easier for the large Pakistani community living in Britain.
PIA launches easy Air-Rail service
PIA has also introduced a new Air-Rail partnership with train networks in Canada and the United Kingdom. This allows passengers to book one single ticket that covers both their flight and the connecting train journey.
For example, anyone flying with PIA to Toronto can now continue straight to eight major cities across Canada by train without buying another ticket. The system matches flight and train timings better, so passengers face less waiting and fewer headaches at the airport.
A PIA spokesperson said the new service will give travellers a smoother and more comfortable end-to-end journey. The airline hopes these steps will win back the trust of overseas Pakistanis and bring more passengers back to its flights.
