Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced plans to expand its fleet with two Boeing 787 aircraft in November 2026. The move will support the airline’s growing international operations.
According to reports, PIA recently leased the aircraft from a European airline. Both planes will join its fleet during the first week of November.
PIA Expands International Flight Operations
The new Boeing 787 aircraft will support international flights from Islamabad and Lahore.
Meanwhile, PIA plans to expand its United Kingdom network from December 1, 2026.
The airline will also launch flight operations to Birmingham, providing another travel option for passengers between Pakistan and Britain.
The expansion could improve travel convenience for Pakistani families, overseas workers, and business travelers.

PIA has released the following flight schedule for its planned Birmingham service.
Flight PK791 will depart Islamabad at 12:15 pm and arrive in Birmingham at 4:00 pm local time. The journey will take approximately eight hours and 45 minutes.

New Aircraft to Improve Passenger Services
PIA management is taking steps to improve travel facilities and strengthen international operations.
The additional aircraft could provide greater flexibility for long-distance routes.
However, the airline has not yet announced ticket prices for the new Birmingham flights.
Passengers should check official booking channels for schedules, fares, and availability before making travel arrangements.
The planned fleet expansion marks another step in PIA’s efforts to strengthen international connectivity and improve passenger services.
