ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has completed preparations for its Lahore-Manchester flight operations following adjustments to the schedule, according to reports on Wednesday.
Under the revised plan, PIA will operate a weekly flight from Lahore to Manchester starting on July 2. Earlier, the airline had scheduled the inaugural service from Manchester to Lahore on July 3.
However, the updated timetable now includes a Lahore-to-Manchester flight on July 2, marking the launch of the route under the new schedule. The change aims to streamline operations and improve connectivity between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
According to the airlineโs fare structure, the one-way economy class ticket from Lahore to Manchester has been priced at approximately Rs155,000. Meanwhile, passengers seeking additional comfort can travel in Economy Plus, where the one-way fare has been fixed at Rs270,000.
For return travel, the round-trip economy class fare on the Lahore-Manchester route has been set at Rs350,000. In addition, the round-trip Economy Plus ticket will cost Rs525,000.
The launch of the route is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers traveling between Lahore and Manchester. The service will particularly benefit members of the Pakistani community residing in the United Kingdom as well as business and leisure travelers.
PIA has planned to operate the route with its Boeing 777 aircraft fleet. The wide-body aircraft offers increased passenger capacity and is designed for long-haul international operations.
The airline has been working to expand its international network and strengthen connections with key destinations. Therefore, the addition of the Lahore-Manchester service represents another step in enhancing travel options for passengers.
Officials expect the route to attract strong demand due to the large number of travelers moving between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. The weekly service is set to begin operations on July 2 under the revised schedule.
