The federal government has increased the petrol price by Rs2.02 per litre and reduced high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.59 per litre.
The revised prices will take effect from September 26, 2026.
New Petrol and Diesel Prices
Petrol will now cost Rs391.30 per litre, up from Rs389.28.
The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced to Rs408.53 per litre, down from Rs412.12.
The new rates will remain effective from September 26 to September 28 under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the prices based on international market rates, Platts prices, premiums and other costs.
Global Oil Prices Decline
International oil prices fell by more than 1% on Friday.
Markets are weighing hopes for a possible truce between the United States and Iran against concerns over rising attacks by Houthi fighters on Saudi Arabia.
Brent crude fell $1.34, or 1.3%, to $105.26 per barrel.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) declined $1.83, or 1.9%, to $92.78 per barrel.
Despite Friday’s decline, Brent remained up around 1.5% for the week. WTI was down approximately 7.4%.
