The federal government has announced another reduction in petrol prices, offering fresh relief to motorists across Pakistan. However, conflicting diesel figures have raised questions about the latest fuel price adjustment.
According to a report published on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs5.45 per litre, with the revised rates taking effect on November 4.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced the changes under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
New Petrol Price in Pakistan From November 4
The price of petrol has been reduced from Rs374.51 to Rs369.06 per litre.
The latest cut follows an earlier reduction of Rs3.40, which took effect on November 3.
Consequently, petrol has become cheaper by Rs8.85 per litre across the two revisions.
The reduction could provide some relief to motorists facing high transportation and commuting expenses.
Has the Government Increased Diesel Prices?
The latest report states that high-speed diesel has increased by Rs3.68 per litre, reaching Rs395.20.
However, official figures released a day earlier already placed diesel at Rs395.20 per litre.
That earlier notification reduced diesel prices by Rs7.76 from Rs402.96.
The conflicting figures mean the reported diesel increase requires further clarification.
What Will Happen to Fuel Prices Next?
Pakistan’s petroleum prices remain sensitive to international oil markets, exchange rate movements and government pricing decisions.
Recent volatility in global energy markets has increased pressure on domestic fuel costs.
While cheaper petrol offers immediate relief, future reductions will depend on market conditions and subsequent official notifications.
Consumers should check verified OGRA announcements for the latest diesel rates and any further price adjustments.
