The federal government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for the latest fuel pricing period, according to the latest update from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Petrol has become Rs1.08 per litre more expensive, taking its price to Rs343.87 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also increased by Rs0.51 per litre. Diesel will now be available at Rs370.92 per litre.
Petrol Price Rises for Second Consecutive Revision
The latest increase comes just one day after another revision in fuel prices.
On Monday, petrol became Rs0.77 per litre more expensive, rising from Rs342.02 to Rs342.79 per litre.
However, diesel had fallen by Rs1.03 per litre on Monday, with its price reduced to Rs370.41.
The latest adjustment has reversed that decline and pushed the diesel price back above the Rs370-per-litre mark.
Fuel Prices Continue to Fluctuate
Fuel prices have undergone frequent changes since the government introduced daily revisions.
According to the available pricing data, petrol has increased by Rs32.57 per litre since the beginning of the daily fuel rate updates.
Diesel has recorded an even larger increase of Rs41.41 per litre during the same period.
On July 11–17, before daily pricing began, petrol was priced at Rs310.71 per litre, while diesel stood at Rs323.30 per litre.
Petrol subsequently crossed the Rs330-per-litre level in August and reached Rs343.87 per litre on September 1.
Diesel also climbed sharply during the period, briefly reaching Rs395.69 per litre on August 18 before declining in subsequent revisions.

- Petrol: Rs343.87 per litre
- High-Speed Diesel: Rs370.92 per litre
