The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) quickly responded to the shocking news that pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi was getting treatment for his knee in London.
This news came from former captain Shahid Khan Afridi.
The flamboyant all-rounder said that the PCB was not helping Shaheen get better and get medical care by giving him money.
In a statement, the cricket governing body, which did not directly address Shahid, said that it has always been its job to make sure that all players get medical care and get back on their feet, and it will continue to do so in the future.
The PCB has always been and will continue to be responsible for arranging medical care and rehabilitation for all of its players who need treatment, said a statement that was first released to share updates on Pakistan batters Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen’s medical rehabilitation.
The statement said that Fakhar, who hurt his right knee when he landed awkwardly on it while fielding in the ACC T20 Asia Cup final in Dubai, will go to London today (Friday) to get better.
“According to the rules, the PCB has set up medical appointments for him with specialists who will give him the best care for his recovery,” it said.
The PCB also said that it would “make all necessary arrangements for Fakhar” and that he would stay under the watch of its advisory panel.
Shaheen is also being treated by the doctors on the advisory panel. His rehabilitation in London is going very well, and he is on track to be fully healthy by the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022, the report said.
Shahid Afridi recently told a private TV station that Shaheen went to England on his own dime to get help for his problems. “I found him a doctor there, and he got in touch with him. Shaheen doesn’t get anything from PCB, “Shahid had said.
Shaheen couldn’t play in the T20 Asia Cup 2022 because he hurt his knee. He went to London to start getting better.
The left-handed fast bowler is on the way to getting better because he keeps posting videos of his rehabilitation.
He will play for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in 2022 and the tri-nation series in New Zealand.
