The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has increased the monthly honorarium for 18 national blind cricketers. The decision follows their consistent performances in recent domestic competitions.
The revised payments will remain effective from July to December 2026. Moreover, the increase comes under the PBCC’s Player Support Programme.
According to the new payment structure, Category A players will receive Rs. 32,000 per month. Meanwhile, Category B and Category C players will receive Rs. 26,000 and Rs. 22,000, respectively.
Revised Player Categories Announced
PBCC placed Badar Munir and Kamran Akhter in Category A. Additionally, Nisar Ali, Mati Ullah, Muhammad Safdar and Muhammad Rashid were included in Category B.
The remaining 12 players were placed in Category C. They include Muhammad Shahzaib, Moeen Aslam, Babar Ali, Niamat Ullah and Sana Ullah Marwat.
Category C also includes Israr Hassan, Mohsin Khan, Junaid Khan, Talha Iqbal, Muhammad Idrees Saleem, Naeem Ullah and Anees Javed.
PBCC Aims To Strengthen Player Support
The council said it increased the honorarium to provide greater financial assistance amid rising living costs. Consequently, the revised payments aim to support players as they continue representing Pakistan.
PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah congratulated the selected cricketers on their inclusion in the programme. Furthermore, he wished them success in their upcoming national and international assignments.
