Local businesses, including hotels, eateries, and shops, are expected to benefit from the increased footfall generated by the new transport option. The project is also likely to ease traffic congestion on Murree’s busy roads—particularly during weekends and holidays—when thousands of tourists travel to the hill station.
Many citizens have welcomed the initiative as an eco-friendly solution, noting that electric trains will help reduce reliance on fuel-based vehicles and curb pollution in the region.
