Shahbaz, 29, gained national recognition after founding the Youth General Assembly in 2015 at the age of 18. The initiative was created to encourage greater youth participation in policymaking and democratic processes.
Over the years, the platform has evolved into a structured forum inspired by the parliamentary systems of Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Each year, it brings together 96 young representatives who debate public policy issues and formulate recommendations for government institutions.
Furthermore, the initiative has become a prominent avenue for nurturing future leaders and promoting civic engagement among young Pakistanis.

His professional work focuses on governance reforms, institutional development, and strengthening public-sector frameworks. Additionally, he serves as a focal person for the Prime Ministerโs Youth Programme, contributing to initiatives aimed at empowering young people and encouraging innovation.
Academically, Shahbaz holds a Master of Laws degree and has pursued studies at prestigious institutions, including the Hague Academy of International Law, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge.
Moreover, he has represented Pakistan at several international forums, including meetings hosted by the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, the Commonwealth, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and BRICS platforms.
