A Pakistani finance professional has won $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Series 550. The victory came after she purchased only one ticket in the popular promotion earlier this month.
Hira Nayyer, a 38-year-old chartered accountant, entered the draw after a colleague mentioned it at work. Having never heard of the promotion before, she visited the website and bought a single ticket online on July 3.

The win makes Nayyer the 29th Pakistani to receive the $1 million Millennium Millionaire prize. Speaking to Khaleej Times, she said she watched the live draw from her office.
However, Nayyer initially struggled to believe her ticket number had actually been announced. She described the moment as both shocking and unforgettable after realizing she had become an overnight millionaire.
Despite the life-changing prize, she has shared the news only with her fiancé. Meanwhile, she plans to take time before making any major financial decisions.
Winner Eyes Property Investment in Dubai or Pakistan
Nayyer said owning a home has always remained one of her biggest ambitions. Therefore, she is considering purchasing property either in Dubai or Pakistan.
She added that the prize has given her the opportunity to achieve a lifelong dream. Furthermore, the unexpected windfall offers greater financial security and long-term stability.
According to Nayyer, the money will also help her invest in a permanent home for her future family. She said the experience has completely changed her financial outlook and opened new opportunities for the years ahead.
