Strong Military Ties Between Pakistan and Australia
The achievement reflects the long-standing military relationship between Pakistan and Australia. Over the years, both countries have cooperated in training and professional exchanges. Since 2013, several officers from the Pakistan Army have served as instructors at the Australian military college.
In addition, dozens of Pakistani cadets have successfully completed their training at the institution since 2009. This ongoing collaboration has strengthened professional ties and mutual understanding between the two armed forces.
Officials noted that such achievements help enhance Pakistan’s image globally. They also demonstrate the quality of training provided at Pakistani military institutions.
Continued Legacy of Excellence and Sacrifice
This is not the first time a Pakistani cadet has received this prestigious award. In fact, it marks the 14th occasion that a cadet from Pakistan has earned the distinction. This consistent performance highlights a tradition of excellence within the Pakistan Army’s training system.
Among previous recipients was Nasir Hussain Khalid Selhria, who later embraced martyrdom during an operation in North Waziristan. His name is engraved on a memorial at the college, honoring his courage and sacrifice.
This legacy serves as an inspiration for new cadets. It reflects the values of discipline, dedication, and service that define military training.

The latest achievement by Cadet Arsam Abbas reinforces Pakistan’s reputation for producing highly skilled military professionals. It also highlights the importance of international training programs in building leadership and cooperation.
Such recognition not only honors individual excellence but also strengthens institutional pride. It sends a positive message about Pakistan’s role in global military training and cooperation.
As more cadets continue to train abroad, these achievements are expected to further enhance Pakistan’s standing in the international defense community.
