Centrum Air has announced direct scheduled flights between Karachi and Tashkent, marking a major development for regional connectivity. The airline will begin operations on September 3, 2026, to improve travel links between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The new route aims to make travel faster and more convenient for passengers. It will also support growing cooperation between the two countries in trade, tourism, business, and cultural exchanges.
The first flight on the Tashkent-Karachi-Tashkent route will introduce another important connection between the two nations. The service will provide travelers with a direct option between Karachi, Pakistan’s largest commercial city, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital.
Two Weekly Flights to Operate Between Cities
Centrum Air will operate two flights every week on Thursdays and Sundays. The schedule will offer passengers a reliable travel option for business and tourism purposes.
Officials expect the new route to create more opportunities for investors, entrepreneurs, and tourists. Moreover, easier air access could encourage stronger cultural connections between communities in both countries.
Uzbekistan Welcomes New Air Link
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, welcomed the announcement and called it an important step toward improving transport connections between the two countries.
Speaking about the development, the ambassador highlighted the rapid growth in aviation cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. He noted that both countries achieved significant progress within a short period.
The ambassador said that only 20 months ago, Pakistan and Uzbekistan did not have regular direct flight services.
With the addition of the Karachi route, the number of weekly direct flights between the two countries will increase to eight.
Currently, airlines operate four weekly flights to Lahore and two weekly flights to Islamabad. The new Karachi service will add two more flights to the growing network.
