Focus on Hostage Rescue and Tactical Coordination
TARBELA: The Pakistan Army and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Presidential Guards have successfully concluded a two-week joint counter-terrorism exercise, Jalmood-I, at Tarbela. The training focused on hostage rescue operations, tactical manoeuvres, and real-time combat coordination between the two forces.
Troops from Pakistan’s elite Special Services Group (SSG) and the UAE Presidential Guards participated in the exercise, exchanging field experiences and techniques to strengthen their operational synergy in high-risk environments.
Strengthening Bilateral Military Cooperation
The General Officer Commanding SSG attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest, alongside senior UAE military officials and diplomats.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Exercise Jalmood-I was designed to enhance joint counter-terrorism capabilities, improve coordination during multi-national operations, and deepen military cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.
Officials said the exercise reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to regional stability and their shared goal of combating terrorism through professional collaboration and mutual training initiatives.
