12-Member Pakistan Team Delivers Huge Medal Haul at Bisley
Pakistan’s national shooting team has produced an outstanding performance at the F-Class British Open 2026, winning 13 medals despite competing with a relatively small contingent.
The Pakistani squad secured seven gold medals, two silver medals and four bronze medals across individual and aggregate competitions at the prestigious long-range shooting event.
The championship was held at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley, United Kingdom, from August 3 to August 8.
The official National Rifle Association programme confirms that competition took place across distances of 800, 900 and 1,000 yards, with individual and team events staged throughout the week.
Around 185 shooters from 24 countries participated in the competition, according to reports from the event.
Pakistan entered only 12 shooters, making its 13-medal haul particularly notable against a large international field.
The team was headed by Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez.
Pakistani shooters competed against some of the leading F-Class marksmen from around the world and maintained strong performances across different stages of the tournament.
Their medal tally included victories in demanding long-range competitions where accuracy, wind judgement and consistency are critical.
Pakistan Wins Seven Golds Ahead of World Championship
Pakistan finished the British Open with seven gold medals, highlighting the growing strength of the country’s long-range competitive shooting programme.
The team also collected two silver and four bronze medals, taking its total to 13.
The British Open programme included practice rounds, individual competitions, international team events and the British Open Individual Championship.
Shooters competed at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards at Bisley, one of the world’s most famous long-range shooting venues.
The strong Pakistani performance is especially significant because the event immediately precedes the 7th F-Class World Championships.
The British Open therefore served as an important competitive test before Pakistan entered the larger world event.
Officials associated with the Pakistani contingent described the results as evidence that the country’s shooters are increasingly capable of challenging experienced international competitors at the highest level.
Pakistan’s success also provides the team with momentum at a crucial stage of its international campaign.
Rather than returning home after the British Open, the shooters have remained at Bisley for the World Championships.
Pakistan Now Targets F-Class World Championship Glory
Attention has now shifted to the 7th F-Class World Championships, which began at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley on August 10.
The championships will continue until August 16.
The National Rifle Association confirms that Bisley is hosting the world event immediately after the British Open.
Results from the World Championships are being published as competitions are completed.
Pakistan will now face leading individual shooters and national teams from across the international F-Class community.
The World Championships represent a much bigger challenge, but Pakistan enters the tournament after an impressive medal-winning run.
The British Open results demonstrate that the Pakistani contingent can compete successfully across multiple distances and against highly experienced international shooters.
Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez and the rest of the team will now attempt to carry that form into the world event.
A strong World Championship performance would further strengthen Pakistan’s growing reputation in international long-range rifle shooting.
