The Pakistan Rifle Team delivered an impressive performance at the F-Class British Open 2026 in the United Kingdom, winning a total of 13 medals, including seven gold medals.
The 12-member Pakistani contingent competed against around 185 leading shooters from 24 countries in one of the major international long-range shooting competitions. The team displayed strong consistency and technical skill in both individual and aggregate events.
Huzaifa Gul Leads Pakistan’s Medal Haul
Huzaifa Gul emerged as Pakistan’s most successful competitor at the F-Class British Open 2026. He won four gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal across different competitions, making a major contribution to Pakistan’s overall medal tally.
Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez, who led the Pakistani team, also delivered a strong performance. He secured two gold medals in the 1,000-yard competitions.
Muhammad Waleed added another gold medal for Pakistan in the 1,000-yard event. He also won a bronze medal in the FTR aggregate competition.
Meanwhile, Obaid Ibrahim and Junaid Ali each secured bronze medals in the 800-yard competitions, further strengthening Pakistan’s performance at the international tournament.
Pakistan Qualifies for International Championship
Following its successful campaign at the British Open, Pakistan’s national shooting team also qualified for the international championship, marking another important achievement for the country’s long-range rifle shooting programme.
According to the Pakistan Long Range Rifle Association, the team’s performance reflects Pakistan’s growing expertise and competitive strength in long-range rifle shooting.
The association said Pakistani shooters competed successfully against some of the world’s most experienced and highly skilled rifle competitors. Their performance demonstrated the team’s ability to remain competitive at the highest international level.
The success at the F-Class British Open 2026 is expected to provide further momentum for the development of shooting sports in Pakistan. The 13-medal haul, particularly the seven gold medals, highlights the growing potential of Pakistani athletes in international long-range shooting competitions.
