ISLAMABAD: To commemorate Saudi Arabia National Day, Pakistan has released a special song, “Ek Doojay Kay Dil-o-Jaan.” The song celebrates the enduring friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Saudi National Day falls on September 23 and commemorates the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released the song on Wednesday, highlighting the strong historical and strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Friendship and shared values take centre stage
Featuring a melodious composition, the song conveys a message of friendship and brotherhood in both Urdu and Arabic. It highlights the longstanding ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to peace, stability and mutual support. The song also references the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, which further strengthened bilateral security cooperation.
Moreover, the melody reflects the close bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, extending from Pakistan to the holy land of Saudi Arabia. The lyrics celebrate shared values and the longstanding relationship that has connected the two nations for decades.
Economic and defence ties expand
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have also strengthened cooperation across trade, investment, energy and defence in recent years. Saudi Arabia has provided significant economic support to Pakistan, including renewing $3 billion in deposits and supplying petroleum products.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia plans to invest around $5 billion in Pakistan, including about $1 billion in the Reko Diq mining project. Both sides have also discussed increasing Saudi investment to $10 billion and raising deposits to $5 billion. In September 2025, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a landmark mutual defence pact to deepen security cooperation.
The countries have since reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and stability amid growing tensions across the region. The latest song celebrates these expanding ties while highlighting the enduring friendship between the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
