The Foreign Office on Wednesday confirmed that all border crossing points between Pakistan and Iran are fully operational, dismissing recent claims suggesting closures along the border.
In an official statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson strongly refuted media reports and social media speculation about the shutdown of entry points, particularly in Balochistan, citing them as “false and misleading.”
“There has been no formal or informal decision to suspend or restrict cross-border movement,” the spokesperson clarified. “All designated crossing points along the Pakistan-Iran border are open and functioning normally.”
The clarification follows unverified reports shared by some regional outlets and online platforms alleging disruptions due to security concerns. However, officials reaffirmed that there is no interruption in the movement of goods or people across the border.
