Pakistan has devised a comprehensive security strategy to ensure the safety of foreign dignitaries arriving in the capital for high-level talks between the United States and Iran.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared the details during a meeting with Natalie Baker, assuring that extensive arrangements are in place for the upcoming diplomatic engagement in Islamabad.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior Pakistan, Naqvi emphasised that a โcomprehensive planโ has been finalised to provide foolproof security to all visiting delegates. He described the arriving officials, including US Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and senior advisor Jared Kushner, as โspecial guestsโ of Pakistan.
The minister reiterated that security measures would cover all aspects of the visit, reflecting the importance Islamabad attaches to the talks and the safety of international participants.
Meanwhile, the US ambassador appreciated Pakistanโs diplomatic efforts and its role in facilitating dialogue between Washington and Tehran, highlighting growing cooperation during a critical phase in regional diplomacy.
The upcoming negotiations are being closely watched globally, as they follow a fragile ceasefire and represent a key opportunity to ease tensions between the two longstanding adversaries.
