The ministers discussed several major international security challenges. These included the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict and the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.
They also stressed the importance of establishing a negotiated two-state solution to the Palestinian conflict.
Additionally, the participants condemned Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s government.
The meeting addressed rising maritime security concerns in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Black Sea.
Ministers highlighted the growing economic and trade risks linked to regional instability.
They agreed that military escalation could further complicate international security and economic cooperation.
The joint statement emphasized the urgent need for diplomatic engagement and peaceful conflict resolution.
The participating countries also reaffirmed their commitment to finding lasting solutions under relevant United Nations resolutions.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar attended the sixth R4 foreign ministers’ meeting in Istanbul.
The R4 alliance emerged in March 2026 to strengthen regional security cooperation and support mediation between Washington and Tehran.
