The event welcomed Americans, US administration officials, lawmakers, diplomats, think tank representatives, and the Pakistani-American community. Pakistani Mangoes Take Centre Stage
Guests enjoyed famous Pakistani mango varieties, including Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol, and Sindhri. Organizers also served mangoes through creative dishes, condiments, and refreshing drinks. Additionally, the festival featured traditional music, cultural performances, and heritage displays celebrating Pakistanโs diverse traditions.
According to the embassy, the annual festival promotes Pakistanโs cultural identity while strengthening international connections. Visitors experienced the aroma and flavor of premium Pakistani mangoes throughout the celebration. Meanwhile, cultural performances entertained guests and showcased Pakistanโs artistic traditions.
Congressman Ryan Zinke of Montana attended the gathering as a special guest. The Foreign Affairs Committee member praised the growing relationship between Pakistan and the United States. He said bilateral ties between both governments and their people have never been stronger.
Festival Highlights Growing Pakistan-US Friendship
Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh welcomed guests and described Pakistani mangoes as a symbol of deepening friendship. He said Pakistani mangoes remain unmatched because of their exceptional taste and quality. Furthermore, he linked the fruit to Pakistanโs agricultural excellence and diplomatic achievements.
The ambassador encouraged attendees to celebrate friendship while enjoying Pakistanโs cultural heritage. He also invited guests to experience traditional performances and the lively sounds of the Dhol drum.
Additionally, organizers screened a special cultural fusion video during the event. The project reimagined the United States National Anthem using traditional Pakistani musical styles. According to the embassy, the tribute marked Americaโs 250th anniversary and 79 years of Pakistan-US diplomatic relations. The embassy said the festival strengthens people-to-people ties while supporting growing economic and strategic cooperation between both countries.
