On Wednesday, Pakistan successfully conducted a test of the Ababeel Weapon System to reaffirm and re-validate its capabilities.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Ababeel missile system will bolster deterrence and enhance strategic stability in the region by operationalizing Full Spectrum Deterrence within the framework of Credible Minimum Deterrence.
The test aimed to re-validate the weapon’s various designs, technical parameters, and performance evaluation of its sub-systems. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, was present to witness the test.
The statement also mentioned that the President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and service chiefs extended their congratulations to all members of the Strategic Forces on this achievement.
