South Korea defeated Pakistan 6-2 in the fourth and final match of the hockey series. However, Pakistan secured the series 3-1 after winning the opening three fixtures.
The Pakistan hockey management included several Under-21 players in the final match. Consequently, the youngsters gained valuable international experience as part of the team’s long-term development plans.
South Korea Dominate Final Fixture
The hosts started aggressively and scored two goals during the opening quarter. Moreover, South Korea maintained control throughout the contest with disciplined attacking play.
South Korea added three more goals in the third quarter before scoring again in the fourth. As a result, the hosts completed a convincing 6-2 victory.
Pakistan scored once in the second quarter and added another goal during the third. Nevertheless, the visitors failed to recover after South Korea built a commanding lead.
Pakistan Secure Series Victory
Despite losing the final fixture, Pakistan finished the four-match series with a 3-1 victory. Earlier, the Green Shirts won each of the opening three matches.
Team officials viewed the final match as an opportunity to test emerging talent. Furthermore, the inclusion of Under-21 players is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s preparations for upcoming international tournaments.
