ISLAMABAD: All arrangements for the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series between Pakistan and Australia have been finalized as both teams prepare to face each other in the opening match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
The first ODI will begin at 4:30pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST), while the remaining two matches of the series will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on June 2 and June 4, 2026.
Meanwhile, authorities have tightened security measures in and around Gaddafi Stadium to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the matches. Security personnel have increased monitoring and implemented special arrangements to avoid any untoward incident during the series.
Pakistan Cricket Head Coach Mike Hesson expressed satisfaction with the teamโs preparation and praised the players for their discipline, fitness, and hard work during training sessions. Speaking to the media at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, he said the squad was maintaining a positive atmosphere ahead of the important series.
Hesson further stated that the ODI series against Australia holds significant importance for Pakistan as the management aims to build a strong and balanced combination before the next Cricket World Cup. He added that competing against a quality side like Australia would help the players improve their skills and gain valuable experience.
Pakistan will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, while Salman Ali Agha will serve as vice-captain. The squad also includes Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Sahibzada Farhan.
Australiaโs lineup features experienced players including Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Matt Short, and Adam Zampa for the highly anticipated ODI series.
