RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has announced its 2026 recruitment drive for Junior Commissioned Officers (Naib Khateeb), General Duty Soldiers, Technical Soldiers, Drivers, Military Police, Clerks, Cooks and Sanitary Workers.
According to the recruitment advertisement, registration will begin on September 1, with applications accepted through Army Selection and Recruitment Centres until November 23, 2026. Soldier candidates can also register online until November 16.
Applicants for Naib Khateeb positions must have completed Dars-e-Nizami from a recognised religious institution alongside FA, FSc or an equivalent qualification. Arabic, Qiraโat and Hifz will count as additional qualifications.
Education and Age Requirements Vary by Post
General Duty Soldiers, Drivers and Military Police candidates generally require Matric, while Technical Soldiers need Matric with Science in at least B Grade.
Clerks require Intermediate with at least C Grade, while Cook applicants need Middle education. Sanitary Workers must be literate, with education up to Primary level.
Meanwhile, most soldier categories carry an age limit of 17ยฝ to 23 years. Naib Khateeb applicants must be between 20 and 28, while Sanitary Workers can apply between 17ยฝ and 35. Authorities will calculate ages as of November 24, 2026.
Relaxations apply to certain candidates, including eligible applicants from Balochistan and merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Candidates Must Meet Physical and Documentation Criteria
The minimum height is 5 feet 6 inches for General Duty, Technical and Driver candidates and 5 feet 8 inches for Military Police. Naib Khateeb, Clerk, Cook and Sanitary Worker applicants generally require a minimum height of 5 feet 3 inches.
Furthermore, applicants must provide original educational certificates, attested copies, photographs, CNIC and domicile documents.
Candidates can register through the Pakistan Armyโs official recruitment portal or visit their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre. After registration, applicants must complete the prescribed tests and subsequent selection stages.
