A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), featuring advanced JF-17 Thunder Block-III fighter jets along with air and ground crews, has arrived at King Abdul Aziz Air Base in Saudi Arabia to participate in the multinational aerial combat exercise, ‘Spears of Victory-2025.’
The PAF showcased the long-range capabilities of its JF-17 Block-III aircraft during the deployment, with fighter jets flying non-stop from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, utilizing in-flight air-to-air refueling.
The exercise includes participation from several nations, with advanced combat aircraft and support elements from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain, France, Greece, Qatar, the UAE, the UK, and the USA.
PAF pilots, operating jets equipped with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar and Extended Range Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missiles, will engage in simulated combat scenarios against technologically advanced fighter aircraft from the participating countries.
This marks the fifth edition of the exercise hosted by the Royal Saudi Air Force. The event aims to enhance interoperability among participating air forces, emphasizing the growing technological advancements and the complexities of modern airpower application. It also serves as a platform to address shared aerial defense challenges effectively.
