ISLAMABAD: In just 48 hours, more than 50,000 Pakistanis have applied for Hajj 2027. About 41000 have applied through online portal while remaining used the Mobile App and other facilities.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has reported a strong public response to the Hajj 2027 registration campaign.
According to a ministry spokesperson, 46,000 applicants completed their registration through the official online portal. Meanwhile, another 5,000 individuals registered from home using the Pak Hajj mobile application.
The government launched the registration drive as part of its efforts to modernize Hajj services. In collaboration with the National IT Board, authorities are shifting Hajj operations to a fully paperless and end-to-end digital system.
Officials said the new system aims to provide pilgrims with transparent, efficient, and user-friendly services. As a result, applicants can now complete the registration process without visiting offices.
Official data shows that 41,000 applicants selected the Government Hajj Scheme. In contrast, 10,000 people opted for the Private Hajj Scheme.
Region-wise figures reveal that Punjab recorded the highest number of registrations with 24,000 applicants. Sindh followed with 16,000 registrations, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa contributed 7,000 applicants.
Furthermore, 3,000 people from Islamabad completed their registration process. Balochistan recorded 800 applicants, while 260 individuals registered from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Gilgit-Baltistan added 77 applicants to the overall count.
The ministry also shared demographic details of the registered pilgrims. Of the total applicants, 30,000 are men and 21,000 are women. Moreover, the highest participation has been recorded among people aged between 30 and 48 years.
The spokesperson stated that the mandatory registration campaign for Hajj 2027 will continue without interruption. Details regarding Hajj costs, travel packages, and other arrangements will be announced in the next phase.
Meanwhile, the ministry urged all prospective pilgrims to complete their registration within the prescribed deadline. Officials warned that delays could create difficulties during later stages of the Hajj process.
For aspiring Hajj pilgrims, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has offered registration through online portal or the Pak Hajj mobile application.
