LAHORE: Police foiled an attempt to supply modern weapons through online bookings during a checkpoint operation in Lahore’s Har area.
Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle and recovered six automatic pistols worth millions of rupees.
Police also seized hundreds of bullets and cartridges during the operation.
According to police, the suspect resisted arrest after officers signaled him to stop. However, authorities eventually overpowered and detained him.
Police Identify Suspect in Weapons Case
Police identified the arrested suspect as Ahmed Hassan. During interrogation, he allegedly admitted supplying weapons to several districts through online bookings.
Authorities registered a case against the suspect and launched further investigations.
Meanwhile, intelligence-based operations are underway to locate and arrest his alleged accomplices.
