Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan has confirmed the launch of another vehicle in the local market, further expanding its growing lineup, according to an announcement shared on the companyโs official Facebook page.
In its post, the automaker revealed that the upcoming model will be the JAECOO J5 HEV, a compact hybrid electric crossover.
While the company did not announce pricing details or a specific launch timeline, it highlighted several of the vehicleโs key features, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), adaptive cruise control, a panoramic moonroof, and hybrid electric vehicle technology.
The confirmation marks another step in Omoda & Jaecooโs expansion in Pakistan. The brand entered the local market in August with the launch of two electric SUVs and followed this up in October with the introduction of a locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUV. The addition of the JAECOO J5 HEV suggests a continued focus on electrified and fuel-efficient vehicles tailored for local consumers.
According to available international specifications, the JAECOO J5 HEV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a hybrid powertrain. The model is expected to compete in the compact hybrid SUV segment, which is gradually gaining traction in Pakistan amid rising fuel costs and growing interest in alternative powertrains.
On the safety front, the global version of the J5 HEV offers six airbags and a suite of features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESP), tyre pressure monitoring, and a 540-degree camera system for enhanced visibility.
Internationally available convenience and comfort features include leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, a power tailgate, a panoramic moonroof, and a large 13.2-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Local specifications may vary once the vehicle is officially launched in Pakistan.
