The Saudi Arabian foreign ministry reaffirms the Kingdom’s unwavering position against violence and terrorism, no matter where it occurs globally.
ISLAMABAD: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Saudi Arabia condemned and denounced the explosion that occurred during the workers’ convention of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) in Khar, the capital area of Bajaur.

The tragic incident occurred during Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) workers’ convention. The death toll rises to 46 and over 100 injuries from the suicide bomber’s explosion.
Sabeeh Ullah, a 24-year-old party supporter, expressed that the extent of injuries caused by the blast was horrifying, having suffered a fractured arm himself.
“I found myself lying next to someone who had lost their limbs. The air was filled with the smell of human flesh,” he said.
OIC’s Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha strongly condemned the heinous crime and extended sincere condolences to the victims’ families, as well as to the government and people of Pakistan.
He also reiterated the OIC’s stand and solidarity with Pakistan in its efforts to combat extremism and terrorism.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s rejection of violence and terrorism worldwide and expressed solidarity with Pakistan and its people, while Russia extended condolences to the affected families.
The ministry offered condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Pakistan, wishing a swift recovery to the injured.
Saudi embassy condemnation
The Saudi Embassy in Pakistan, in its posts on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter), issued a strong condemnation of the blast and called for an end to terrorism worldwide.
The embassy further added,”Saudi Arabia stands shoulder-to-shoulder with its Pakistani brethren in this time of need. We pray for the early recover of those injured in the blast.”

Russian Embassy in Pakistan, in a social media post on X, prayed for the quick recovery of those injured.
“We express deep condolences to the families of the victims of the blast in the Bajaur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Best wishes of speedy recovery to the injured.”

Volunteers were assisting blood-soaked victims and transporting them to ambulances.
