Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) has secured the top position in Transparency International Pakistan’s 2026 corporate transparency assessment. The company ranked first among 104 listed firms, achieving an overall score of 92.71% for transparency and corporate reporting.
The assessment highlighted OGDC’s performance across several key areas, including anti-corruption measures, financial reporting, workplace inclusion, and procurement practices. Notably, the company earned perfect scores in multiple categories, reflecting its results in the evaluation.
OGDC Scores 100% in Key Transparency Categories
OGDC achieved a 100% score for its anti-corruption programmes, according to a company spokesperson. The result placed a spotlight on the company’s performance in this area of the assessment.
Furthermore, the company secured perfect scores in organisational transparency and financial reporting. These categories assess how companies disclose information about their structures and financial activities.
OGDC also earned 100% in gender equality, non-discrimination, and the inclusion of persons with disabilities. These results covered areas related to equal treatment and workplace inclusion.
Procurement Practices Earn OGDC Another Perfect Score
The company also achieved 100% in procurement practices involving government contracts and tenders. This category formed another area in which OGDC recorded a perfect score.
Transparent procurement practices are important when companies participate in public-sector contracts and tendering processes. OGDC’s result placed it at the top of this category in the assessment.
However, the company received lower scores in other areas covered by the report. Its performance therefore varied across the different measures of corporate responsibility and disclosure.
Human Rights and ESG Reporting Scores
OGDC recorded an 81.25% score in human rights and corporate responsibility. This result reflected its performance in another major area of the transparency assessment.
Meanwhile, the company secured 75% in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting. ESG reporting covers information related to environmental considerations, social responsibilities, and corporate governance.
Although these scores fell below OGDC’s perfect results in several other categories, they contributed to its overall assessment.
OGDC Secures First Place Among 104 Listed Companies
With an overall score of 92.71%, OGDC ranked first among the 104 listed companies included in Transparency International Pakistan’s 2026 report. Its results combined strong scores in several transparency categories with its performance in human rights and ESG reporting.
The ranking places OGDC at the forefront of the companies assessed for transparency and corporate reporting. Its category-level results also show where it achieved perfect scores and where its assessment results were comparatively lower.
